Isabelle, Yoga teacher

I took my first yoga class in 2012. At the time I was looking for something to complement my dance practice, to work on flexibility, strength and balance.
And often… when you’re looking for something, you find something else!

It was with the practice of Hot Power Yoga (Vinyasa Yoga in a room heated to 30°) that I took my first steps on the yoga path. From 2013 onwards, I practiced 3 to 4 times a week. It was extremely transformative both physically and mentally. I began to step out of “autopilot” mode and become more aware of my functioning and the world around me.

Introspection and meditation became an integral part of my life. That’s when I came across Yin Yoga, a marvellous introduction to meditation. It became obvious that I needed to train to pass on my knowledge: in 2018 with Cécile Roubaud (50h), in 2020 with Bernie Clark (50h) and in 2021 with Sebastian Pucelle and Murielle Burellier (50h), who are now my guides in this practice and its teaching.

My encounter with Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga came later during a several-month trip to Bali in 2017. The physical commitment, the structured aspect and the spiritual dimension fitted in perfectly with my personality.
A seed was planted, as in 2019 I pushed open the door of Ashtanga Yoga Paris. I immediately loved the studio, the atmosphere, the teaching and the kindness of the teachers.

Beyond the physical and mental well-being, Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga is an encounter with oneself, which has taught me, little by little, to be more attentive, to find my own rhythm, and to let go of expectations. Being in the present moment and observing what’s there, on and off the mat.
Wishing to deepen my practice, I took the AYP 200h training with Linda and Gérald, a course of the highest quality. I look forward to sharing my passion for Ashtanga with you!

I’m also certified in De Gasquet pre- and post-natal yoga, and specialize in abdominal re-education and perineal work.
